Significant Accomplishments of Dr. Larry Wadsworth

Larry Wadsworth has BS and PhD from NC State University in Textile Chemistry and Fiber & Polymer Science.

He spent about seven years working at Nonwoven companies, Surgikos, Kendall and Chicopee.

Since 1981, he has been at the University of Tennessee, conducting nonwovens related research, teaching and providing service to nonwoven industries. Although he retired in 2007, as an Emeritus Professor, and consultant to companies, he continues to contribute to the field of Nonwovens.

Larry has been very actively involved in INDA activities at least since 1990. He has been a TAB member, member of INDA conference organizing committees, and has been in the editorial board of Nonwovens Journal (JNR, INJ and now JEFF).  He has actively participated in INDA Conferences as presenter, tutorial organizer and speaker, and organizer moderator of many sessions.

He has held many positions in the TAPPI Nonwovens division as well, and currently, he is the Chair of the Nonwovens division.

His research accomplishments include:

Larry Wadsworth’s contributions are recognized and respected both in industry and academia and he certainly deserves this recognition, especially for his contributions to INDA and its member companies.
