Abstract:	Manual controls of wetlaid systems can have adverse environmental, labor, safety, and economic results. Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) can enhance existing manual systems and result in longer production runs. This work applies CIM concepts to a one-ply wetlaid laboratory experimental machine by developing a software application using IBM's Plantworks to monitor, sense, and control the equipment.
