Dysfunctional filtration plants in the federal capital may cause diseases. Most people turn on the faucet to get water and don’t even think twice about it. That’s not necessarily the case in Islamabad, Pakistan. 75% of the city’s citizens could be drinking, cooking or washing with contaminated water provided by filtration plants. There is a project called, “Provision of Safe Drinking Water” that is underway to help fix the problem. This contamination sounds quite serious with people’s health being affected. Sounds like better filters and filtration systems are needed and soon.
