Anionic Nanofiber Filter for Trace Metal Removal in Ultrapure Water

Abstract: 1) The anionic nanofiber nonwoven was made by electrospinning. The anionic nanofiber is made from hybridization of anionic fluoro polymer and PVDF (Polyvinylidene fluoride).
2) The anionic nanofiber nonwoven, a cation exchange film and a spacer sheet for water flow are laminated to assemble the anionic nanofiber filter.
3) Trace sodium in ultrapure water was removed from 1 ppt to 0.1 ppt through the anionic nanofiber filter, and the filter life is predicted to be one year.
