Dolores Shaw is a senior microbiologist within the North American region for Dow Microbial Control. In her role as a customer applications specialist, Dolores provides manufacturers of consumer products technical assistance in identifying solutions for their microbial challenges. Dolores specializes in the household, I&I and personal care markets. Dolores is the global technology focal point for these markets.
Dolores has published technical papers on preservation topics in industry journals, has given presentations at several industry and microbiology conferences and has several granted patents. Dolores is a member of the Personal Care Products Council (formerly CTFA) and is currently serving as vice-chair of the microbiology committee. Dolores is also an active member in the Consumer Specialty Products Association's (CSPA) Microbiology Preservative Committee where she has contributed to the development of industry guidelines / methods.
Dolores joined Dow as part of the Rohm and Haas acquisition in April 2009. She joined Rohm and Haas in 1985 as a research scientist focusing on oil field, water treatment, paper processing and various industrial markets. Dolores has been part of the preservative business for 30 years.
