The Green Chemistry & Commerce Council (GC3) is a cross-sector, full value chain business membership organization that convenes collaborations to advance green chemistry innovation & practice. The presentation will focus on a collaborative effort to identify and accelerate the development of novel, safe and effective preservative technologies for personal care and household products. Eleven CPG companies (including J&J, P&G and Unilever) and five preservative suppliers (including Dow, Lonza and Symrise) sponsored the effort; the CPG companies participated in the design, which included the development of technical and safety criteria, and judging. The evaluation included safety and performance assessments. We will describe the process, the final results and plans for new projects.
