August 22, 2006 . . . Cary, NC – INDA announces the development of a new world-class conference offering, the World of Wipes (WOW) 2007, to be held May 22-24, 2007 in Chicago, Illinois.

Rory Holmes, INDA’s President, explains, “The consumer wipes market has experienced phenomenal growth for nearly a decade. INDA’s members and Board of Directors felt it was time to offer an event specific to wipes that would be comprehensive in scope to promote and ensure continued growth and success of these highly valuable market segments. For two years, PCMC has held a highly successful technical and equipment conference focused on wipes. PCMC will continue with its successful gathering but will alternate with INDA’s World of Wipes Conference.

“Wipes have always been part of the successful VISION Consumer Products Conference, now in its sixth year,” Mr. Holmes continued, “Since Vision is focused on more general and global business topics there was a demand for focus, comprising both technical and marketing interests, on the wipes industry. Rob Johnson of Smith, Johnson & Associates has been the Chair of the Vision Advisory Committee, since its inception, and will chair a similar WOW Advisory Committee. INDA prides itself on developing events, designed by the industry, that bring to bear real time resources on critical topics.

The planned WOW 2007 Conference will feature workshops and general sessions that delve into the nuts and bolts of the wipes industry. The conference will focus on research & development as well as marketing issues. A reception and tabletop event are also being planned as an important networking experience.
