McCormack and Wu receive INDA’s Lifetime Technical Achievement Awards
Rory Holmes, INDA’s President, was proud of the history making event. “I feel this is truly a reflection of the decades of good work that have gone on in our Industry, led by qualified and successful people like these.” McCormack is a Senior Research Fellow-Technical Leader III who has worked for Kimberly-Clark for the past 25 years. She is best known at KC for bringing new composite technology to the nonwoven businesses through film technology. She has 41 US patents and 13 pending. Wu who has recently retired from Clopay had been in the industry for 29 years. His last assignment was Senior Director of Product Development in Hygiene as well as Global Coordinator. He has 31 patents in the field of polymeric films and nonwoven laminates. This award is based on nominations received from the industry, member companies and other interested stakeholders. INDA’s Technical Advisory Board then votes with the selection criterion that includes nonwoven technology involvement, INDA membership, and at least 20 years of industry service based on advancing the technology of the industry and culminating with commercial successes.
