INTC 2007 to Address Worldwide Technological Advances Annual joint INDA/TAPPI Conference will focus on sustainability and other topics vital to nonwovens industry in the 21st Century CARY, NC — June 7, 2007 — Advances in nonwovens technology around the world, highlighting sustainability, will be the focus of the International Nonwovens Technical Conference (INTC), scheduled for September 24-27, 2007 at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta, Ga. The world’s largest technical conference, co-sponsored by INDA, Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, and TAPPI, Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry, will feature presentations from dozens of researchers and experts from around the world during the four days of technical sessions, tutorials and networking. One of the highlights of INTC 2007 will be a keynote presentation by Andrea J. Russell, Quality Manager, Americas, Rio Tinto Minerals, on “Sustainability – Using Life Cycle Thinking to Drive Change.” The integration of sustainability into a company’s business strategy can provide differentiation as an innovator and leader and this keynote presentation will utilize case studies from the nonwovens sector to illustrate the basics and benefits of taking a Life Cycle Approach in product and process design. Other sessions during the four days of INTC will focus on Binders & Additives, Building & Industrial Mats, Filtration, Flame Retardants, Insulation, Meltblown/Spunbond, Modeling, Nanotechnology, Polymers & Processes, Protective Materials and Surface Enhancements.
