Bi-weekly publication from association’s Washington, D.C. office seeks to keep INDA members informed on government and legislative issues impacting their businesses
CARY, NC — March 13, 2009 — As part of its expanded and focused efforts in Washington, D.C., INDA, Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, is publishing a “Washington Alert” newsletter to keep its members around the world informed on legislative and government activities that impact their businesses.
The bi-weekly newsletter is emailed to members and is also available
in the Members Only section of the INDA website, www.inda.org.
It is written by Jessica Franken, of Franken & Associates LLC, who
heads the new INDA staff in Washington, D.C., and Rick Mann, of INDA’s
long-time Washington counsel Keller & Heckman along with Adam Bloedorn
also of Keller & Heckman.
The goal of the Washington Alert is to continually update INDA members of important regulatory and legislative developments that specifically impact their businesses. Topics range from recent and proposed legislation to review and analysis of the ongoing budget process and other economic issues in the Nation’s Capital.
“A knowledge of what is happening in Washington, D.C. is vital to the success of INDA members and our mandate is to keep them informed of the government and legislative issues that affect their businesses,” says Franken. “This is even more important in 2009 as a new Administration begins to enact its agenda.”
“Global and domestic activities impact the business of nonwovens every day and the new Washington Alert will keep our INDA members informed, so they can operate their companies in the most effective and informed manner possible,” adds Mann.
The Washington Alert is published bi-weekly and a notice is sent to all INDA members to access them at www.inda.org. INDA members can request to be added to the newsletter distribution list by contacting Helena Lee, (919) 233-1210 ext. 120, hlee@inda.org.
