INDA Offering Nonwovens Training Course on DVD
Elementary Nonwovens Training Course on DVD for office education
CARY, NC — October 14, 2009 — After being successfully offered for many years in a traditional classroom setting, the always-popular Elementary Nonwovens Training Course from INDA, Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, will be available in DVD format for companies to use for employee training in their offices.
Covering the basics of nonwovens – from recognizing technologies to exploring the many end-uses of nonwoven products – the eight-hour Elementary Nonwovens Training Course DVD is designed for non-technical employees. The target audience includes personnel in human resources, business development, legal, marketing/sales, division management, accounting and administration with an interest in obtaining a basic knowledge of the industry.
The Elementary Nonwovens Training Course has traditionally been held at INDA headquarters in Cary, N.C. For the first time, the availability of the course on a DVD greatly expands the reach of this educational tool.
“We realize that in this challenging business climate it is often difficult for both large and small companies to send their employees on the road for training,” says INDA President, Rory Holmes. “Since we consider the education of non-technical personnel an integral part of growing the business of nonwovens, we felt it important to utilize available technology to bring the course to them.”
Holmes, who serves as the instructor for the course on the DVD, points out the many advantages of the DVD training — no travel expenses to the course, the ability to train at the employee’s and company’s convenience, and the ability to train many employees for one low cost.
The Elementary Nonwovens Training Course covers the basics of nonwovens and participants learn to recognize nonwovens and nonwoven products, appreciate the diversity of nonwovens, review most production methods, view animations and videos of production equipment and hear about the many end uses of nonwovens. To make the course even more educational, nonwoven product samples are included with the purchase of the DVD.
The DVD is available at a pre-sale 10% discount through November 16. The cost to INDA members is $1,165 ($1,295 after November 16). For non-members the cost is $1,620 ($1,800 after November 16).
