A COURSE FROM INDA & NCRC
Cary, NC . . . Bonding Fundamentals is a course jointly produced by INDA and NCRC (Nonwovens Cooperative Research Center at NCSU). The course is scheduled August 22 – 26, 2005 at INDA Headquarters, Cary, North Carolina. Bonding Fundamentals is an in-depth learning experience in the nonwoven process especially the bonding step. Coursework includes instruction in engineering fundamentals as well as hands-on experience in bonding fabrics at NCRC.
Cos Camelio, Technical Director, INDA, stated, “This will be the third time we have offered Bonding Fundamentals. Attendance at this course is important for any professional involved in hydroentangling, thermal bonding, needlepunching and other bonding processes. Participants will take away valuable knowledge that they can pass on to their colleagues and peers.”
Course Learning Outcomes include:
- Engineering fundamentals of hydroentangling, thermal bonding, and needlepunching techniques and their applications.
- Refresh your knowledge of thermodymanics and fluid mechanics as they relate to bonding technologies.
- Conducting computer simulations using Fluent code to determine the effect of nozzle design on the waterentangling process.
- Understand functionality of the industrial Nonwovens bonding equipment.
This course is designed for professionals involved in R&D, manufacturing, product development, production, maintenance and plant operations with a BS degree in engineering or textiles.
Course is limited to 40 people.
