Filtration 2005 International Conference and Exposition Set For November in Chicago

The world’s largest filtration meeting to be held November 15-17 at Navy Pier

CARY, N.C. — March 14, 2005 — With a recent report indicating that the global filtration market is growing at a solid 3-4% rate a year, plans are in place for the worldwide filtration industry to meet at Filtration 2005 International Conference and Exposition, November 15-17 at Navy Pier in Chicago, Ill.

INDA, organizer of the annual event, reports that more than 75 percent of exhibitors from Filtration 2004, held last December in Philadelphia, Pa., have already booked space for the 2005 Exposition.

As the largest gathering of the year for the worldwide filtration industry, Filtration 2005 will bring together over 1600 attendees from every corner of the globe. More than 100 exhibitors representing all links in the filter supply chain -- from raw material and equipment suppliers to end-product converters -- will be introducing the newest products and technologies for all aspects of filtration.

In addition, a world-class conference will feature presentations from dozens of global experts in the field of filtration. The Conference has become the premier venue for information in the field of filtration. Among the topics planned for 2005 are Environmental Concerns, Global Opportunities, Medical Filtration, Automotive Applications, and Homeland Security.

“The filtration industry is playing an increasingly vital role in both our national and personal safety and Filtration 2005 will be the best place this year to be a part of this important market,” says Rory Holmes, INDA President. “The annual Filtration Conference and Exposition has become THE gathering place for the global filtration industry and once again will be the largest meeting of its kind in the world this year.”

Filtration 2005 promises to deliver the key decision-makers in the business of filtration. At Filtration 2004 in Philadelphia, 36 percent of attendees were “top management” and 45 percent were responsible for purchasing/marketing/sales.

Attendees and exhibitors alike have nothing but praise for the role that the Filtration event plays in their annual sales and marketing efforts.

"We attend because we can meet with both our suppliers and customers in one location at the lowest cost possible,” says Alisa Edmunds, of filter converter Filtrair. “This is the only show that is focused just on filtration. We bring in people from both engineering and sales because both sides can get a lot of work done."

"Our customers and prospective customers – and their customers – are here and we talk to all of them,” says Louis Clark, of Sunoco Chemicals. “I come here to network with our customer base and to take a look at developing markets in filtration."
