Disruptive Technology: Creating Nonwovens That Others Cannot

Once a science fiction, digital technologies has become an intricate part of our daily lives. With Suominen's design lab, we have developed advanced digital technologies and high definition patterning using proprietary know-how. Among many things, one of the main focus of this technology is to change the way consumers think about and use their hygiene articles. The aim of this disruptive technology is to assist in breaking down the barriers around menstruation. Suominen has developed a unique technology that would be able to provide consumers with related product information, product origin and use instructions.

The in-depth research and insights helped us to pioneer this new page of the nonwoven industry and serve our customers with innovative services and experiences. This talk will share how Suominen will support the reinvention of the sanitary napkins by helping our customers and consumers to discover, try and choose nonwovens and products that meet their unique experiences.

BIOGRAPHY

Lynda has over thirty years’ experience in the Global Nonwovens industry. Starting her career at a very, very young age with Kendall, which then became Colgate Palmolive, followed by International Paper/Veratec and then finally BBA Nonwovens. She had a short stint at the former John Starr Consulting Company which today is Price Hanna Consultants before joining First Quality Nonwovens in a business development role for medical and wipe market. Today she is Suominen Senior Vice President for the Care Division focused on Hygiene and medical nonwovens responsible for the leadership, development and execution of the global Care strategy.

Lynda has a personal goal to educate one new person a week on “What is a nonwoven?” as well as “Imagine a world without nonwovens?”. She has been doing this for a long time and knows she hasn’t even made a dent because she continues to meet people who say… “What is a ‘wove woven??’.
