New Cellulose Based Nonwoven Fabric Technology

A process for making nonwoven products of 100% cellulose that can be bonded via traditional nonwoven bonding technologies and/or can be bonded through a self-binding mechanism. The resulting nonwoven web is made from 100% sustainable wood-based raw materials, is absorbent, and can be produced at basis weights ranging from below 15gsm, up to 150 gsm. These products can be tailored within a significantly wide range of physical properties.
