Conrath Pierre Conrath

External Relations & Sustainability Director, EDANA

Pierre Conrath leads the External Relations and Sustainability activities of EDANA, the international association serving the nonwovens and related industries. Pierre joined EDANA in 2008 and coordinates a number of working groups and supports EDANA members on topics ranging from international trade to ecolabels and environmental legislation.

Prior to joining EDANA, Pierre worked as Senior Consultant for Kellen Europe, an Association Management firm. In this role Pierre managed and advised several trade associations operating in various fields, with a strong focus on manufacturing industries and environmental issues. Previously Pierre acquired experience in a wide range of roles when working in the environment and chemicals practice area of Fleishman-Hillard, as the Brussels representative of a French transport trade association, focusing on EU road transport policy. Pierre also worked as a member of DSM.s public affairs team, on biotechnology issues.

Pierre holds a degree in political science from the Institute of Political Science of Bordeaux. In addition, he has a Masters degree in Public affairs and representation of interests from Laval University of Quebec and the Institute of Political Studies of Bordeaux. In addition to his speaking French as his native language, Pierre speaks fluent English and Dutch and has a good knowledge of German.
