Connie manages SHE's business development efforts and directs its marketing initiatives for SHE Global. Prior to joining SHE, Connie was an Assistant Marketing Manager for a luxury beauty brand. Sustainable Health Enterprises' (SHE's) mission is to invest in people and ideas that are typically overlooked (and often taboo) to drive social and economic change. Its first initiative, SHE28, is addressing girls' and women's lack of access to affordable menstrual pads, causing significant costs to their health, education, productivity, and dignity. SHE has designed go! pads, which are a safe, affordable, quality feminine hygiene product that significantly reduces the negative environmental impact of typical pads. SHE, with assistance from its partners, now has a U.S. patented mechanical process to make the absorbent core of the pad from banana fibers, which are an all-natural, readily available agro-waste product.
