Sr. Director Global Olefins, IHS Chemical
Mr. Chuck Carr is Sr. Director Global Olefins and service leader for the North America Light Olefins Market Advisory Service at IHS Chemical. He focuses primarily on olefins and the analysis of the propylene and propylene derivatives markets for IHS clients. He also manages the global propylene market intelligence studies for the company and contributes regular commentary on these markets for other IHS Chemical reports. In addition, Mr. Carr contributes propylene analysis to the World Propylene Analysis, an annual study also published by IHS.
Before joining IHS, he had a distinguished career of 21 years with TOTAL Petrochemicals U.S.A., where he held a number of leadership roles in refinery operations, process engineering, commercial management, logistics, distribution and planning. His last assignment was as olefins manager, where he was responsible for all commercial activities and market intelligence for the purchase of ethylene and propylene as a raw material for polymer manufacturing at all of TOTAL's U.S. petrochemical facilities. A registered professional engineer in Texas, Mr. Carr graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.
