The School also has printing facilities, including several digital ink jet printers, weaving, knitting, composites, and apparel laboratories. The School is willing to work with industry on research and trial/small production runs. Philadelphia University is home of the Laboratory for Engineered Human Protection, a research initiative centered on the development of more sophisticated and effective protective-garment systems, as well as home of the Institute for Textile & Apparel Product Safety, which has the ability to evaluate the safety of garments, upholstery, and other textile products for their intended audiences.
