Cotton in Nonwovens Are BioPreferred

Have you heard that old saying that “it ain’t easy being green?” Well, perhaps it could be a little easier now thanks to nonwovens containing cotton. The USDA BioPreferred program has certified nonwovens containing cotton as biobased. You might think this was a slam dunk, but not so. Any product on the market before 1972 didn’t qualify . . . and cotton has been around for way longer than that. Great news that there was a change of heart from the USDA . . .
