Election Set-Back for US Wipes Industry

In case you hadn’t noticed it was an election year (what with all those commercials), here’s another hint: it’s a delay to the U.S. Environmental Protection’s Agency’s “Industrial Wiper Rule” intended to better level the playing field between industrial wipers and shop towels. After more than 27 years in the making, INDA was thrilled when the long-overdue rule was sent to the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for its final review earlier this spring.  Unfortunately, a backlog of reviews at OMB and election year politics have stalled the rule, likely leaving it in limbo until after the November election.
