Goulston Technologies Breaks Ground on $8 Million Expansion



Monroe, in North Carolina, was named after the 5th President of the United States and one of the United States’ Founding Fathers, James Monroe. The city of Monroe started out in 1843 as an agricultural trading center (read: tobacco). These days, Monroe is home to more than 36,000 people and Goulston Technologies (produces spin finishes and specialty chemicals). Goulston is making some heavy investments in their plant, thereby expanding their capacity and capabilities.
